Public Relations is playing an important role in connecting the society : Dr. Ramesh Pokhariyal “Nishank“

New Delhi. Public Relations is playing an important role in connecting the society and achieving the mission of “Ek Bharat : Shreshth Bharat”, former union education minister Dr. Ramesh Pokhriyal “Nishak” said this while speaking at a function in New Delhi. He said that Public Relations play great role in unifying the nation. Dr. Nishank appreciated Public Relations Society of India (PRSI) for its  excellent job in the field on public relations. He was addressing the valedictory ceremony of PR-Mass communictaion Orientation programme for Students, virtually. Dr. Pokhriyal further said that “Vijayi Bharat Abhiyan” launched by  the Public Relations Society of India with the positive hope that India will re-define the economic development, global business and inclusive growth based on our traditional treasure of knowledge, innovation and creativity, post Corona and the movement of  ‘Aatmnirbhar Bharat’ and ‘Make in India’ will put India on top of the world. He expressed happiness that the Vijayi Bharat Abhiyan was launched by him only. I appreciate  nationalistic approach of working of PRSI , under the leadership of Dr. Ajit Pathak which adds value to the efforts of government of India, under the able leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Richard A Linning, Past President, International Public Relations Association and Chairman, World Innovation and Change Management Institute speaking as the Guest of Honour of the Function appreciated PRSI’s efforts in promoting interests of the profession. He also lauded need for innovation and creativity in all efforts to make communication more effective.

In his address, National President of the 63 year old Professional body, PRSI, Dr. Ajit Pathak said that responding to the severe Pandemic challenges, PRSI launched an all India Corona Awareness drive, Vijayi Bharat Abhiyan, Promotion of New Education Policy, Promotional Scheme for Research in Public Relations, and organised a very successful 42nd All India PR Conference and PRSI National Awards. A number of Competitions were organised during the last two years for Mass Communication teachers and students. In the same series PRSI came up with this free lecture series, addressed by best of the professors of the Mass Communication Professors. This is first of its kind gesture by any professional body across the world, added Dr. Pathak.

Speakers from various universities and experts gave their lectures on different aspects of PR. Speakers were unanimoius that the role of Public Relations is very crucial and important and play an important role in a communication process. The PR professionals and practitioners have to be prepared for response strategy as there is always a link between a Crisis situation and a Crisis response, they said.
